It’s never too late for your own 2012 Olympic ‘get fit’ resolution…
Countryside Ski & Climb had the London 2012 Olympic torch come through this weekend and it has to be said the support and encouragement for the bearer was fantastic. The weather was pretty miserable but the turnout was impressive and it got us thinking amongst ourselves about personal ambition and being motivated enough to improve or maintain fitness – not just for medals or competition but for an all-round better quality of life.
At the beginning of this year we’re sure a lot of us made a resolution to get fitter but how many of you out there have stuck to it six months down the line? Hopefully with enthusiasm for the London 2012 Olympics gaining momentum at a local level, we can all be inspired to get back on track or just keep up the good work. Don’t be put off by the weather if you want to get out for a ride, run or walk – get rid of your old cotton tee and shorts and check out the huge choice of super-quick drying gear there is out there now, because you really will be so much more comfortable and you won’t get quite so cold when you stop if it tips it down.
At Countryside Ski & Climb we think Salomon really know what they’re doing when it comes to gear like this. Their women’s range fits well and is a bit different from the rest of the stuff out there and their men’s range has some seriously good jackets that solve your “I want to stay dry but I get too sweaty in a waterproof’ problem”.
