NEW Patagonia Products Just Arrived

Yet again Patagonia has combined great design, great colour and technological innovation into a must-see package for this winter.

Their exclusive stitch-less Welded Seam technology continues to be a major feature in the Alpine range for hard shells such as the Stretch Element jacket and pants, as well as soft shell garments like their Ready Mix jacket. Welded Seam benefits include light weight, better flexibility and increased durability.

In an exciting new development, Patagonia has combined its strong environmental ethos with enhanced performance in their new base layer programme. You've now got a choice between significantly improved Capilene polyester garments and an extraordinary new line of soft merino wool pieces.

The new wool garments use the highest-quality 100% merino fibres to wick moisture and regulate body temperature, with three fabric weights covering high-aerobic to cold-weather activities. The wool is sourced from specific New Zealand ranches with stringent environmental standards.

New Capilene base layers still feature a moisture-wicking polyester fabric that dries quickly, but now made with more than 50% recycled polyester derived from plastic bottles and fabric scraps. Capilene is also 100% recyclable through Patagonia’s Common Threads Recycling Programme - when your old Capilene finally wears out, send them back to Patagonia (you can drop them by at Countryside) and they'll recycle them into new polyester garments.

Patagonia has also reduced the funk factor in Capilene polyester by using a naturally derived odour control that is both durable and easy on the planet. Other companies use silver ions (heavy metals that pollute) to kill the bacteria that causes odour in their clothing. These risks were unacceptable to Patagonia, so they developed a safe, non-polluting alternative called Gladiodor.

Patagonia's Regulator garments continue to develop with new styles and colours. Created by Patagonia and Polartec, Regulator fleece is the most efficient, agile (and best looking!) insulation ever made.
