This lightweight zip-neck is made from 73% merino wool wrapped around a 27% all-recycled polyester core for a luxurious hand, fast dry time and enduring strength. Inherently soft and comfortable, merino wool naturally resists odour, moves moisture away from the skin, regulates body temperature, and stretches. The high doubled collar and a zipper covered at both ends are skin-friendly. Raglan sleeves and offset side seams won't chafe beneath pack straps. All seams are overlocked for a clean aesthetic. Patagonia slow wash their merino for next-to-skin softness and to reduce shrinkage. Machine-wash cold; lay flat to dry. Recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

Chlorine-Free Wool
Raw, untreated wool has scales that make it itchy and coarse and cause it to shrink, so most wool fabrics are treated with chlorine to reduce the scales. Patagonia's 100% merino wool is so fine it can be slow-washed without chlorine for softness and minimal shrinkage.
