It is very easy to manufacture ‘heritage’ and ‘cool’ these days and at Countryside Ski & Climb we make it our business to seek out the genuine from the phoney as great ideas are worth spreading. Inspired by the courier bags the NYC cycle messengers used to use in the 70’s, Rob Honeycutt, a cycle messenger himself in 1989 San Francisco, took the leap to start manufacturing his own bags in a backstreet garage.
Patagonia - Women's R3 Hi-Loft Hoody
The R3 Hi-Loft Jacket is Patagonia's warmest layering piece made of Regulator fleece engineered for maximum thermal value and minimal weight when layered under a shell.
Times have changed, and so has Patagonia's Regulator R3 fabric, but not its goals. R3 remains seriously focused on insulating and is their warmest layering piece (a shell over the top maximizes its performance), thanks to a higher-loft Polartec Thermal Pro polyester yarn that's resilient yet lightweight, compressible and stretchy. Its directional knit also wicks moisture and speeds dry times.
Warm and stretchy panels (Polartec Power Stretch) under the arms and down the sides allow a cleaner fit, full mobility and enhance durability. Microfleece lines the collar, cuffs and hem for comfort, zippers close the three pockets (one internal chest, two handwarmer). Recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

Recycled Polyester
Patagonia recycle used soda bottles, unusable second quality fabrics and worn out garments into polyester fibers to produce many of their clothes.
Technology:
Patagonia seeks to build the best product and cause no unnecessary harm. That's their mission statement, and it takes many forms. As it applies to making products, Patagonia works hard to source materials and use processes that are less harmful to the Earth without compromising quality. Patagonia firmly believes that quality is not only how well a product performs and holds up, but also how it's made.
