Hi-Trail Sole
This Vibram sole unit used on the ZG Models, is incredibly light, yet unlike others who have tried to lighten soles by lowering the profile, it retains deep cleating that gives outstanding grip. Based on a Megabyte trekking mix, it gives great adhesion with easy self cleaning action during use. The combination of rubber outsole and ultra-Lite PU wedge gives great underfoot shock absorption.

Last
This last is designed to avoid the generally "sloppy" fit of many trekking boots that may provide instant comfort in store, but fail to perform when needed. Scarpa have worked to provide a precision fit that will inspire confidence when used. The forefoot and toe volume are generous, without feeling over roomy, the arch and heel area are superbly sculpted to provide the desired hold and support during use.

Midsole
Comfort Flex - Using nylon for its permanent performance qualities, the comfort flex midsole is moulded so it has minimum flex in the heel section but gives comfortable flex in the forefoot area. It is used for walking and hillwalking footwear.

Crosta suede upper
Crosta - This is the standard grade of leather used by most leading mountaineering boot manufacturers. It is a premier leather for mountain footwear and gives excellent comfort and general performance. However, without the HS12 treatment, its water repellancy is not as efficient as Reversed Anfibio leather.
