To that end, Patagonia's most technically dialed alpine soft shell provides breathable comfort on the ascent, fends off precipitation and holds up nicely to abrasion from rock and ice. And does a better job of it this season, thanks to Patagonia's innovative Composite Seam System™ construction, which enhances compressibility, minimises weight, and enhances water-resistance and durability. Heavier fabric now reinforces the shoulders and sleeves, the offset front zipper won't bunch up under a layering system, and torso pockets actually stay open when you need to ventilate. Other features: easy-gliding, reverse-coil Deluge® DWR water-repellent zippers; hood/hem drawcords that adjust from inside the front pocket; a helmet-compatible, three-way Optipull hood; and anatomically contoured Centaur Cuffs with hook-and-loop wrist closures. The women's jacket has a feminine fit.

65oz 50 denier (Reinforcements: 7.8oz 175 x 150 denier) dobby weave, stretch woven polyester bonded to 3D polyester knit interior; Deluge® DWR.

New fabric package increases two-way stretch, warmth and wicking performance. Heavier weight fabric reinforces the shoulders and down the sleeves for increased durability. Composite Seam System™ (CSS) construction is extremely compressible lightweight, weather resistant and durable (Patent pending). 3D two toned mesh interior glides over underlayers and offers excellent moisture management. Reverse coil DWR zippers throughout. Roll down 3 way adjustable, helmet compatible hood. Front zipper is slightly offset to the left at the chin for layering comfort. Internal zippered mesh pocket. Gathered elastic on sides allows trim torso fit and keeps the two mesh-lined torso pockets open for ventilation when unzipped.
