Using Alpaca yarn, the Vicuña Socks are soft, warm and feel incredibly smooth against the skin. Unlike sheeps wool it contains no lanolin, which means it is hypoallergenic. Alpaca fibres are much smoother than sheep fibres, giving you a far softer feeling wool. It is one of the most durable animal fibres on the planet, is very breathable and provides fantastic temperature regulation (cosy and warm when its cold, and cool in warmer temperatures).

Known as the 'Wool of the Gods',  Alpaca wool is sustainably and ethically farmed in the Andes, where these animals have evolved and adapted to cope with the harsh climate and altitude. They live at altitudes from 2500m to over 4500m where temperatures can vary from -20oC to +30oC in the same day.
