GORE-TEX® Pro is used by leading brands in their highest performing garments where the user requires the best combination of durability, waterproofness and breathability in extended all-mountain conditions.

Garments using Gore-Tex® Pro are a 3 Layer construction. The term ‘3 Layer’ means that the outer fabric of the garment has the membrane
(Gore-Tex®) bonded to the back and then a backer is bonded to the membrane in order to protect it. The reason for this type of construction is because it creates a garment that is more durable, lighter, easier to glide over layers and ultimately more breathable - which is what its intended end user requires.

The latest Pro Shell is a 3 Layer construction, which uses a micro-grid backer as opposed to a standard scrim backer on the inside.  This is creating an improvement in breathability by about 28% on previous versions of Pro and makes for a lighter and more supple garment overall.

Gore-Tex Pro® is used in some of the waterproof jackets & trousers as well as Ski Jackets & Pants that we have in stock at Countryside Ski & Climb.
