Salomon Arcane Prime MIPS Helmet in Castor Gray

The Salomon Arcane Prime MIPS® Ski Helmet combines advanced impact protection, premium comfort and bold, contemporary styling for skiers and snowboarders who demand dependable performance across the mountain. Finished in the understated Castor Gray colourway, this high-performance helmet brings together Salomon's MIPS®, EPS4D and Smart Safety 360 protection technologies, a precision BOA® Fit System and adjustable ventilation, delivering an excellent balance of safety, comfort and versatility for piste and all-mountain skiing.

At the heart of the Arcane Prime is Salomon's comprehensive approach to impact protection. MIPS® technology is designed to help reduce rotational forces transmitted to the head during certain angled impacts, while patented EPS4D construction improves energy absorption from vertical and oblique impacts. Salomon's Smart Safety 360 system combines EPS4D with strategically positioned EPP material surrounding the head, providing additional impact management. These technologies work alongside a robust hybrid shell construction, combining a durable injected ABS upper shell with a lightweight In-Mould lower section for an excellent balance of strength, protection and ventilation.

Comfort and adjustability are equally impressive. The low-profile BOA® Fit System provides precise, micro-adjustable tightening around the head, while vertical adjustment allows the fit to be refined to suit individual head shapes. Salomon's MaxFit construction incorporates anatomically shaped 3D ear pads that sit comfortably around the ears, providing a secure, supportive fit without unnecessarily restricting hearing.

Inside, the premium Polartec® Power Dry™ lining uses advanced moisture-wicking fabric technology to move perspiration away from the skin, helping maintain a comfortable temperature during demanding days on the slopes. The lining is fully removable and washable, while the removable ear pads offer additional flexibility for different weather conditions and personal preferences.

Salomon's Active Ventilation system allows skiers to regulate airflow by opening or closing the ventilation channels, providing welcome cooling during warmer conditions while helping retain warmth when temperatures fall. The integrated Airflow Concept encourages consistent air circulation between the head, helmet and goggles, supporting temperature regulation and helping reduce moisture build-up.

Designed with practicality in mind, the Arcane Prime features integrated goggle strap guides for secure, convenient helmet and goggle compatibility. A FIDLOCK® magnetic-mechanical buckle makes fastening and removing the helmet straightforward, even when wearing ski gloves. With approximately 40% recycled materials incorporated into its construction, the helmet also reflects a more considered approach to material selection.

Weighing approximately 600g and supplied with a protective helmet bag, the Salomon Arcane Prime MIPS® offers an outstanding combination of advanced safety technologies, personalised comfort and distinctive styling. An excellent choice for confident piste and all-mountain skiers seeking premium protection and dependable performance throughout the winter season.
