Information

Technical composition: 78% Merino Wool 18% Red-Cycled nylon and 4% Stretch Nylon with Lycra*

Legal composition: 78% Wool 21% Polyamide 1% Elastane*

*The technical composition offers details on the type of thread and material. The legal composition refers to the net amount of each material. Differences between the two compositions may arise in socks made with more than one material.

Merino Wool

Due to the long length and short diameter of the fibre, Merino sheep's wool creates a softer yarn with a finer loop that is softer to the touch than wool from other species of sheep. The fibre's core is hydrophilic (water retaining) and breathable. Since it retains heat even when damp, it is particularly suited to use in ski socks.

Red-Cycled Nylon

Red-Cycled Nylon yarn is 100% made with fish nets whose useful life in the fishing industry has come to an end. Instead of becoming a hazard at the bottom of the ocean or rubbish elsewhere, they are recycled into a new nylon yarn. This continuous fibre yarn is characterised by its strength and cushioning capacity. This is the fibre that is most resistant to wear and tear.

Lycra

Lycra is a synthetic elastane fibre that can stretch up to six times its length and go back to its original state again and again. Its strategic placement in the outer layer of Lorpen socks guarantees a long life. Along with Nylon, Lycra is characterised by its strength and cushioning capacity.

United Kingdom

We deliver to all countries within the United Kingdom, including England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

Orders placed by noon on a working day (Mon-Fri) should be delivered by the end of the following working day in the UK. Please be aware sometimes factors beyond our control can delay delivery and next-day delivery cannot be guaranteed.

Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man take an extra day, so we ask customers to please allow 2-4 working days from the day of order to avoid any disappointment.

Notwithstanding this, we only sell from our stock which is ready to ship, all orders are treated as priority and get the fastest delivery possible, and we don't charge extra for this. In the UK, this means next working day for orders received by noon.

Channel Islands

We do not deliver to The Channel Islands. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

European Union and International Destinations

We do not deliver to destinations outside the United Kingdom. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
