With a lighter environmental footprint than other insulated jackets, the Earthrise uses filling that comes entirely from reclaimed duck and goose down whilst both its outer shell and inner lining are 100% recycled. A reliable warm layer both for the mountains and daily wear.

Filled with 100% Post-Consumer recycled down and made from 100% recycled Polyamide the updated Earthrise Hooded Jacket continues Mountain Equipment's journey to develop simple, highly functional insulated clothing. It now offers an improved fit, optimised down fill and the addition of a chest pocket for on-the go essentials yet remains a tried and tested classic that is perfect for cold bivouacs and overnight camps to alpine ski tours and cold weather walks.

Its enduring and utterly functional design continues to be based around a simple hooded design with an active fitting narrow-baffled construction throughout. Purposefully simple, the jacket is light enough and compressible enough to lend itself to almost any outdoor activity.

Perfectly balanced, the Earthrise Jacket is filled with 135 grams of 700 fill power down, which like all the down we source is free from any additional chemical treatments and whilst there are much warmer jackets available, it straddles the divide between warmth and weight. In colder or stormier conditions, the elastane bound cuffs and hem will help you seal in valuable warmth.

The jacket is also completely windproof, features a fluorocarbon-free water repellent finish and will happily fend off melting flakes of snow or a brief shower. With two zipped hand warmer pockets, an outer chest pocket, an internal zipped pocket for essentials such as keys and the ability to pack the whole thing away into one its hand pockets and to be stowed on a harness, the Earthrise Jacket is a valuable all-round insulated layer for climbing and mountaineering.
